12 Days of Christmas

Thank you to everyone who entered our 12 Days of Christmas promotion. It was really hard choosing the winners!

The winners and their answers are below. We will contact you for your mailing address so we can send you your prizes. We have also included links to where you can buy a copy of these books.

Day 1:

Day 2:

Her favourite Christmas song is Silent Night as she taught herself to play it on the piano as a kid

Day 4:

She wants a book chosen by her boys… they are a better pick than she is!

On this day, we have a special bonus. Natalie Hollis said the book Finn and Puss by Robert Vescio was at the top of her list. Robert has generously donated a copy of this book to send her!

Day 5:

Prize: Jack McCool, The Amulet of Athlone by R.E. Devine

She loves all the Summer fruits that are available at Christmas time: cherries, mangoes, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries and more!

Day 6:

Prize: Daddy and the World’s Longest Poo by Brydie Wright

Her favourite Christmas character is Mr Hanky the Christmas Poo

Day 7:

Prize: Ruby Lane by R.J. Simon

The best book she received for Christmas was “My Dad couldn’t read – but one year he went, by himself, into a bookshop and asked the people who worked there to recommend a book for me (I was 8 at the time, I think) because he didn’t want me to miss out on what he had missed. The book he bought was the first of The Famous Five series by Enid Blyton (Five search for treasure, or something …). I ended up getting the whole set eventually – still have them.”

Day 8:

Prize: Bro by Helen Chebatte

Winner: Sue Watson

The worst Christmas gift she received was a can of WD40!

Day 9:

Prize: Rhymes with Sketching by Adam Wallace

Winner: Amanda Lieber

Her favourite Christmas tradition is getting up before everyone else and having a quiet cuppa tea, reading my new ‘holiday’ book

Day 10:

Prize: You Can Do It Joey by Kerry Malone

Winner: Shaye Wardrop

Her favourite Christmas themed story is Merry Everything by Tania McCartney

Day 11:

Prize: Frankie Dupont and the Mystery at Enderby Manor by Julie Anne Grasso

Winner: Kaye Baillie

The decorations outside her house is an old watering can as their front yard is just dirt as they wait for landscaping.

Day 12:

Prize: Emerald Child by Karen Hughes

Winner: Chantel Hills

Her best part of Christmas is watching her little boy spend time with his family who doesn’t see him too often.
