When I found out there was a new book by Kate Gordon, it took every ounce of willpower to contain my excitement. But then I figured I didn’t have to, and so the result is this upcoming showcase of fun and exciting features across the blogosphere! Welcome, dear reader, to the #JunoJonesWordNinja #blogtour!

Small town Tasmanian girl, Kate Gordon, has certainly made a BIG entrance into the world of writing. It appears she and her books are winning awards left, right and centre!  And they are much deserved!

Recent novel, Girl Running, Boy Falling, released with Rhiza Edge, was long-listed in the 2019 CBCA Awards. Writing Clementine was published in June 2014 by Allen and Unwin. It received the 2016 IBBY Ena Noel Award and was published in the German language by Random House, Germany. In 2018, Kate was shortlisted in the Dorothy Hewett Awards for an Unpublished Manuscript, and was commended in the 2018 Vogel’s Awards.

Kate’s other books include Three Things About Daisy Blue, Thyla, and her third book, Vulpi, the sequel to Thyla. Kate’s first picture book, Bird on a Wire, was published this year by Hardie Grant. Kate has another picture book, two series and two novels forthcoming, in 2019. One of those series being the spectacularly awesome junior reader, Juno Jones Word Ninja, published with Yellow Brick Books.

Kate was also the recipient of 2011 and 2012 Arts Tasmania Assistance to Individuals grants.
